Maximum Study Period and Additional Exam Rights for Associate Degree Programs

📌 Application for Additional (Make-up) Exams:
Please review the Additional Exam Application Guide .

Students are required to complete their associate degree programs within a maximum of four years, excluding the foreign language preparatory class.

Students who have reached the maximum study period of four years may use two additional exam rights per semester for the courses they have failed.

📌 Participation in Additional Exams:

  • Students who are granted the right to take additional exams must attend the first additional exams to be held at the end of the maximum study period.
  • Students who do not attend the first additional exam will be deemed to have used this right and cannot directly attend the second additional exam.
  • Students who attend the first additional exam but fail may take the second additional exam.

 

2025-2026 Academic Year Fall Semester End Additional Exam Schedule

2–3 March 2026

Application for the 1st additional exam for students who have reached the maximum study period

9 – 15 March 2026

First additional exams

18 March 2026

Deadline for entering the first additional exam grades into the electronic system

23–29 March 2026

Second additional exams

31 March 2026

Deadline for entering the second additional exam grades

3 April 2026

Deadline for submitting the results to the Student Affairs Office with the decision of the academic unit administrative board

📌 Right to Additional Period After Additional Exams:

  • Students who have 2 to 5 courses remaining for graduation after the additional exams are granted an additional period of 3 semesters. During this period, they may complete their failed courses by using their exam rights.
  • Students who have 2 to 5 courses remaining for graduation without taking the additional exams are granted an additional period of 4 semesters.

📌 Unlimited Additional Exam Right for Students with One Remaining Course:

  • Students who have only 1 course remaining for graduation may use an unlimited additional exam right for that course without benefiting from student rights.
